Privacy policy
How we handle your information.
Effective 10 October 2026.
This policy explains how MVRISE PTY LTD (ACN 606 436 471), trading as MV Rise ("we", "us"), collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). MV Rise is a business-to-business advisory service, so most of the information we hold is business contact information about people who work for, or invest in, the companies we talk to.
1. What we collect
We only collect what we need to reply to you, assess whether we can help and run our business. Depending on how you contact us, that can include:
- Website enquiry form: your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), what you are trying to do, what you would like to book, a preferred call time (optional) and your message.
- Calendly bookings: your name, email address, the time you book and any answers you give in the booking questions. Calendly may also collect technical details such as your time zone.
- Licence Readiness Scorecard: your name, work email, company name and job title, and your multiple-choice answers about your project (for example, where you are up to, your site and plans, funding and team experience). We use your answers to prepare a red, amber or green readout.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn lead forms: the details you submit in the form, such as your name, email address, company, job title and country, plus your form answers. The platform may prefill some fields from your profile. You can change them before you submit.
- Email and calls: anything you choose to send us, and notes we make about our conversations.
- Technical information: when you visit the website, our hosting provider and font provider automatically receive standard technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
Please don't send us sensitive information (such as health information or criminal history) through our forms. If we need anything like that later in an engagement, we will ask for it directly and explain why.
You can contact us without giving your name, or using a pseudonym, for general questions. We will need a working email address to reply, and we may need your real details before we can do any work with you.
2. Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange the call or session you asked for.
- To prepare and send your scorecard readout.
- To work out whether our services suit your project, and to prepare proposals.
- To send you a small number of follow-up emails about your enquiry or scorecard. You can opt out at any time (see section 7).
- To run and improve our website, advertising and services, and to keep records we need for our business.
We don't sell your personal information.
3. Storage and disclosure
We store information electronically using reputable service providers. We only share it with them so they can provide their services to us:
- Email hosting: our email provider stores emails you send to us and our replies.
- Netlify: hosts our website and receives website enquiry form submissions.
- Calendly: manages intro-call bookings and sends booking confirmations.
- Ad platforms (Meta and LinkedIn): collect lead form submissions on their platforms and pass them to us. Their own privacy policies also apply to what you do on their platforms.
- Google Fonts: supplies the fonts used on our website, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We choose providers that have their own privacy and security commitments.
We may also disclose information if the law requires or authorises it, or with your consent. We don't otherwise share your personal information with third parties.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. These include access controls and limiting access to people who need it. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet record-keeping obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
4. Cookies and ad pixels
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies. We may also use advertising tags, such as the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure how our ads perform, to understand which pages are useful, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view, and the ad platforms may combine it with information they already hold about you.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Meta and LinkedIn account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you using our website.
5. Access and correction
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email advisory@mvrise.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we can't give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why in writing.
6. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email advisory@mvrise.com.au with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond in full within 30 days.
If you aren't satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
7. Marketing emails
If you send an enquiry or complete the scorecard, we may send you a few follow-up emails about it. Every email tells you how to opt out. Reply "stop" or email advisory@mvrise.com.au and we will stop.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with its effective date.
